This initiative provides an exceptional platform for composers to collaborate with orchestras and choirs across the UK, resulting in the creation of original and dynamic new works. As a participant, Au will compose an orchestral piece, which will be premiered and recorded as part of the scheme
As part of the prestigious Making Music UK scheme for composers, Au has been paired with Barnet Choral Society -London-. His new song cycle, Three Songs of Sunlight, for mixed chorus, piano, and the rarely heard vibraphone, premieres in London on 13th November.
Au and The Mackintosh Choir have been invited to perform Tango Mass at the Edinburgh Festival of Sacred Arts. For this special occasion, the choir has commissioned a brand-new work — Magnificat — which will receive its world premiere alongside Tango Mass on 26th August.

As a composer, his acclaimed works, including Tango Mass and the Bandoneon Concerto, showcase his ability to unite diverse musical traditions, captivating audiences worldwide. He continues to inspire through his conducting and compositions, bringing artistry and innovation to every performance.
